Mandurah, Halls Head, Falcon and Meadow Springs are 6210. Dawesville is 6211. Pinjarra and Ravenswood are 6208. North Dandalup is 6207. Canal and estuary blocks often have a short frontage and rules about what can sit in view. A 10ft is the frequent answer where a 20ft would cross the building line.

Mandurah containers are trucked south from stock held at a Fremantle depot, down the Kwinana Freeway and past Baldivis into the City of Mandurah. From the freeway the truck peels off to wherever you are: west to Halls Head, Falcon and Dawesville along Old Coast Road, into the older suburbs wrapped around the estuary, or across to Lakelands, Meadow Springs and the newer estates on the eastern side. Beyond the city boundary it keeps going — Pinjarra Road into the Shire of Murray, or the Forrest Highway south out of the Peel.
Because container and delivery are quoted together, the distance from Fremantle is already inside the number you get. What moves that number more than the kilometres is the ground at your end: a straightforward tilt-tray drop on a new-estate driveway prices differently from a crane lift over the back fence of a canal home.
A lot of Mandurah is built on water. Canal homes around the Mandurah Ocean Marina, Port Mandurah and the Dawesville Channel sit on narrow lots with the garage on the street and a jetty at the back, and there is rarely a clear path down the side for a container. For those, a 10ft container on the driveway is often the practical answer, or a crane truck that can lift over rather than tilt in. Anything that would sit on the street or verge needs the City of Mandurah's agreement before it arrives.
Coastal sand is the other thing to plan for. Much of the Peel coast is loose, pale sand that holds a truck once it is compacted and swallows a wheel when it is not. The tilt-tray should stay on the driveway or on firm, rolled ground; if the chosen spot is a sand patch behind the shed, lay some road base first. Salt air off the ocean and the Peel Inlet is hard on paintwork and door hardware, so an occasional wash-down and a bit of grease on the locking bars keeps a container opening sweetly.
Inland of the coast the Peel changes character. The Shire of Murray runs from the Pinjarra townsite out through farmland and lifestyle lots around Ravenswood, Nambeelup, Coolup and North Dandalup to the foot of the Darling Scarp. These are the properties where a container earns its keep: horse gear and feed, fencing supplies, a ride-on mower, and tools that would otherwise sit in an open carport. Some of those lots are on low, winter-wet flats that hold water after a run of fronts, so pick the highest, firmest spot a truck can reach and put the container on pads under the four corners.

Mandurah is a boating and crabbing town, and plenty of the storage people need is gear that will not fit in the garage: dinghies, outboards, crab drop nets, rods, kayaks and trailer spares. Owners of holiday homes and short-stay rentals use a container to keep their own belongings locked away between guests. Builders working the estates along the eastern side of the city take site stores on hire and send them back when the keys are handed over.
If the contents need to stay dry through a Peel winter, buy cargo-worthy: those containers are inspected and sold wind and watertight. As-is units are cheaper, are not sold watertight, and suit things that could live outside anyway — steel, pots, rope, star pickets. The grade is written on every quote, so there is no guessing.
Newer estates around Lakelands, Madora Bay and Meadow Springs usually come with builders' covenants and tidy front yards; a container parked in view of the street may not be welcome for long, so the back or side of the lot is the better target if a truck can reach it. Older streets around the town centre, Silver Sands and Greenfields tend to have wider blocks, carports and more room down the side, but mature peppermint and tuart trees often hang over the drive.
Before the truck is booked, clear the drop spot, move cars and boats off the driveway, and look up for wires, eaves and branches along the whole path the container will travel. Measure the narrowest point. If anything is marginal, a photo of it saves a wasted trip for everyone.
