Rockingham and Kwinana are the industrial and coastal strip on this side of the metro. Stock for them is held for the area and goes out by road, either down Cockburn Road and Rockingham Road past the Henderson shipyards, or on the Kwinana Freeway with a turn west at Anketell Road, Thomas Road or Safety Bay Road. A short trip does not make every drop simple. The gate and the overhead lines still decide the truck, and delivery is quoted to the address.

Kwinana is one of the country's major heavy-industry areas. Industrial sites come with their own rules. Many want the driver inducted, a slot booked with the gatehouse and the container set down on a marked pad. Sea breeze and salt spray reach a fair way inland along this coast. Point the doors away from the afternoon south-westerly where you can, keep the rubber seals clean and deal with scratches before rust gets a start. For contents that must stay dry, choose a cargo-worthy container — inspected and sold wind and watertight. As-is units are cheaper, are not sold watertight, and are fine for items that could sit outside anyway.
The City of Rockingham runs south well past Port Kennedy, through Secret Harbour, Golden Bay and Singleton to the Mandurah boundary. The newer lots there are compact, so side access for a 20ft is often tight and a driveway placement or a 10ft is the realistic option. Inland, Karnup's rural-residential blocks have the opposite problem: plenty of room, but long sand tracks from the gate to the shed.
For a Karnup or Baldivis acreage drop, walk the route the truck will take. Look for soft patches, low branches, the bore line and any septic tank or leach drain that a heavy wheel should not cross. Mark the drop spot with pegs so the driver knows exactly where it goes, and have someone there to guide the truck back.
