Palmerston city, Driver, Gray, Moulden, Woodroffe and Yarrawonga are 0830. Rosebery, Bellamack, Zuccoli, Johnston and Mitchell are 0832. Pinelands and Holtze are 0829. Yarrawonga is the industrial strip, the easy hardstand drop. The newer estates are narrower, with letterboxes, islands and a driveway measured for a ute.
Defence families and people moving into a new house are a steady hire job: a box for the overlap between two addresses, then gone. It comes from the Berrimah-area depot. Wet-season ground in the unfinished parts of estates can be soft. We have no NT office.
Palmerston is close to the stock. Containers come from a depot in the Berrimah area, which is restocked off the wharf at East Arm, and travel down the Stuart Highway into the City of Palmerston. With such a short road leg, the delivered price for a Palmerston address comes down mostly to the container itself and the kind of truck your site calls for.

Palmerston's newer suburbs — Zuccoli, Johnston, Mitchell, Farrar, Bellamack — are built on smaller lots with narrow side setbacks, double garages at the street and estate design guidelines. A container usually ends up on the driveway or in a back corner, and neither is simple on a compact lot. Measure the gap beside the house, check for overhead wires and eaves, and ask both the City of Palmerston and your estate guidelines whether a container is allowed where you want it.
Where a tilt-tray cannot get in, a 10ft may fit on the driveway, or a crane truck can lift over a fence. Established suburbs such as Gray, Driver, Moulden, Woodroffe and Rosebery generally have bigger yards and better side access for a 20ft.
Yarrawonga and the surrounding light-industrial areas hold mechanics, builders' suppliers and trades who use containers as tool stores and stock overflow. Tradies working the growth estates take site stores on hire for the length of a build. Robertson Barracks is close by, and defence families often need somewhere to keep household goods during a posting or a gap between houses.

Around Palmerston's city centre and Roystonea Avenue, small businesses sometimes need back-of-house storage for stock and fit-out materials. Placement there usually needs the landlord's agreement as well as the City of Palmerston's, so sort that out before the truck is booked.
Palmerston's drainage is designed for monsoon rain, but backyards still pond in a heavy storm. Choose the highest, best-drained part of the lot and sit the container on concrete pads or steel stands under the corners, a little higher at the door end. That keeps the floor off wet ground, lets air move underneath and makes it harder for termites to reach the timber floor.
Condensation is constant through the build-up and the wet. Vents at each end help, as does keeping stored items off the floor and away from the walls.
