In town, access is usually straightforward — standard driveways and reasonably flat blocks — though drifting sand and loose ground on the coastal side can catch a truck out. The rural-residential lots around Waggrakine, Moonyoonooka and Walkaway are larger, and a tilt-tray can usually work freely as long as the pad is firm.
Geraldton is a windy town. Strong southerlies blow through much of summer, carrying sand and salt with them. Put the doors on the sheltered side where possible, keep sand from building up against the walls and the door seals, and treat scratches before rust spreads. Summer sun heats a steel box quickly; a light colour and vents help if the contents are heat-sensitive.

Farm tracks in the Midwest are often sandy or gravelly, and sandplain country can bog a truck after rain or where stock have churned the surface. Choose a firm, level spot near the main track, and make sure gates, grids and ramps are wide enough for a heavy vehicle.
Harvest brings a rush of storage needs — spare parts, oils, tarps and tools on the farm, and contractors wanting a secure store while they work the crop. A hire unit dropped ahead of harvest and collected afterwards often costs less than buying for a seasonal need.
North of the city, Northampton sits on the North West Coastal Highway among farms and old mining country, with Horrocks on the coast to the west and Kalbarri reached by a turnoff further north. Holiday homes, caravan parks and fishing businesses in those coastal towns want somewhere lockable for gear through the off-season, and a 10ft or 20ft fits most of those blocks.
